A Great 4-H Regional Show

It was a great 2016 Tennessee 4-H Regional Show at the Miller Coliseum this weekend. The weekend kicked off on Thursday with Dressage and Hunt Seat in hand. Hannah rode a great test but had some rough luck with the judge placing 8th in SR Dressage and Sierra rode her first dressage test ever and placed 3rd in Walk/Trot Dressage. Hannah came back strong Thursday afternoon winning Halter Mares, and Sierra placed 4th in Showmanship. Sierra also, placed well in JH Hunter Under Saddle and Equitation with a 9th and 4th place placings.

Friday, both girls rode in Hunter Over Fences and Hunter Hack. Hannah rode very well placing 6th in SR Hunter Over Fences and 2nd in SR Hunter Hack. Sierra competed in the JH division placing 3rd and 4th. Sierra also, won Hunt Seat Trail!

Saturday, Sierra competed in Western Pleasure and Ranch with her two horses Tinkerbelle and Scotch. On Tinkerbelle, Sierra took 1st in JH Western Pleasure, 1st in Western Trail, and 2nd in Horsemanship. On Scotch, Sierra won Ranch Horsemanship and placed 5th in Ranch Riding.

All in all it was a great weekend. The girls were happy with their rides and the show ran smoothly. They have worked incredibly hard and I am very proud of both of them. We are now getting ready for the Tennessee State 4-H Show in two weeks.
