Training Horses that Want to Perform

Meet Blue. He is a 10 year old unregistered Paint. Stands between 14.2 and 15 hands with a huge stride for his size. For the past 2 years he has been owned by an older lady who has been taking dressage lessons on him. Before she bought him he was jumping 2 ft and being ridden by intermediate kids. He would be a great low level Eventing horse as he has a great uphill hand gallop through fields and woods with lead changes and prefers to be out exploring. He gets a bit bored doing only dressage even though in the right hands he could probably do 2nd Level. Easy to adjust his stride. Quiet on the trails but has mostly only been ridden by himself, but I do feel that he would be fine with other horses.
He does have to stay on Omeprazole daily, which only runs about $60 a month for the generic paste. Wears front shoes.
He is not suited for a beginner, but he would be great for a confident young teenager or adult. With weaker riders he tends to drop his inside shoulder and be resistant about going forward. Typical lesson horse stuff. Not going to buck or rear. He’s a lot of fun for an experienced rider to play with and challenge him mentally. No joint maintenance. Asking $3200 with some negotiability. Located in Spring Hill, TN. Call me at 615-653-9733.

$9,000 Negotiable JKS ALL THAT LYNX is a 2007 registered liver chestnut quarter horse mare with Doc Lynx and Ray Gay Quixote on her papers. Multiple videos available on Search Aelin Johnson and scroll through videos. Extremely cowy and athletic. Finished in reining and working cow horse working down the fence. Consistently wins ranch pleasure and trail in the American Stock Horse Association. Would rather work cows than anything else. Very smooth jog and lope with a consistent headset and carriage in all three gaits. Big stop and a powerful rollback. Solid lead changes. Been ridden in sliders for a year now. Soft mouth and neck reins. This mare loves to work and loves to learn, it takes very little time for her to learn anything new. Would be great in the American Ranch Horse Association, American Stock Horse Association, Team Penning, would make a great Heel horse with very little work, all roping disciplines, reining, etc. She is the ultimate all around western horse. She does not need every day riding. Not at all spooky and great on the trails. Been used a lot for ponying young horses and herding horses and cows. She loves to show and I can’t show her very often and I have too many horses.

SOLD $2,500 Mercedes is a 5 year old registered mare by Bugginjohnwith Honor (proven 1D horse and mulitple 1D barrel horse producer) and out of Latches Bold Lady by Latch Charge (a top rodeo sire). Sorrel mare that stands between 14H-14.2H. She has been started on barrels and shows a lot of natural talent. She also, has training in ranch and has started learning reining maneuvers along with started on neck reining. Mercedes is an extremely smooth and responsive horse.
