Training Horses that Want to Perform

Aelin’s Girls Win Big at the TN 4H State Horse Show!

What a fantastic show this week at the Tennessee State 4H Horse Show in Shelbyville, TN. The week started off with the Sierra showing Tinkerbel in the Western Show on Tuesday earning herself 3 Championships, 3 Reserve Championships, a 4th placing, and a 6th placing. They also took the High Point Western Champion Award!
On Wednesday, Sierra switched horses and showed Scotch in the Ranch show earning Champion in Showmanship, 6th in Ranch Riding of 44, 5th in Ranch Horsemanship of 25, and 3rd in Ranch Trail of 24!
On Thursday, Hannah, on Aires Sister, joined Sierra to compete in the Hunt Seat Flat Show. In the Junior High division Sierra took home 2 Reserve Champions in Showmanship and Hunter Under Saddle, 4th in Hunter in Hand Ponies, and 5th in Hunter Equitation.
In the Senior division Hannah took 3rd in Halter Mares and 10 in Hunter Under Saddle of 48 horses! Also in Senior, Ashley on Day Dreamer took home a 9th, a 5th, and a 4th in flat.
On Friday, all three girls competed in jumping. Hannah competed in the 3ft Hunters for the first time and went home with a 3rd and a 7th of 14 horses. Ashley competed in the 2ft 6 in large pony division and went home with 2 Championships and a Reserve Championship. Sierra, with just 6 months of jumping had a little but of hard luck in the Novice Horse division missing the top 10 placings.
Overall, it was a great show and I am extremely proud of all three girls and their four horses. They have worked incredibly hard and it has payed off. Congratulations to all of you!
I want to send out a big thank you to our sponsors Promises Kept Rescue and Rehabilitation, Rhinestones N More, and Rutherford Farmer’s Co Op.
